Description

Platinum Giant Gourami Giant Osphronemus Goramy 10cm

“Meet the majestic Platinum Giant Gourami (Giant Osphronemus Goramy), a stunning freshwater fish prized for its impressive size and striking platinum hue. Originating from Southeast Asia, these gentle giants boast a peaceful demeanor despite their formidable appearance.

Feeding these beauties is a delight, as they readily accept a varied diet of high-quality pellets, flakes, and occasional live or frozen treats like bloodworms or brine shrimp.

Their amiable nature makes them suitable tank mates for similarly peaceful and large fish, such as other Gouramis, Bala Sharks, and larger Tetras. However, it’s advisable to avoid smaller or more timid species that may be intimidated by their size.

While generally peaceful, these giants can display territorial behavior, especially during breeding. A spacious tank with plenty of hiding spots and plants helps reduce potential aggression.

Due to their size and specific needs, caring for Platinum Giant Gouramis is best suited for intermediate to experienced aquarists. They require a large tank (200 gallons or more) with stable water parameters: temperature around 72-82°F (22-28°C), pH between 6.5 to 7.5, and moderate water flow.

With proper care and a suitable environment, these Platinum Giants grace aquariums with their beauty and serene presence, becoming the prized centerpiece of any aquatic enthusiast’s collection.”
