Description

Glowlight Danio Danio Choprai 2cm

Overview: The Glowlight Danio (Danio choprae), also known as the Chopra’s Danio, is a stunning and vibrant addition to any aquarium. Renowned for its striking golden-orange body adorned with iridescent blue stripes, this peaceful and active schooling fish brings a radiant glow to freshwater tanks.

Origin: Originating from the streams and rivers of Myanmar, these danios thrive in well-oxygenated, clear waters with moderate currents.

Feeding: These fish are omnivores and readily accept high-quality flake foods, frozen or live foods like bloodworms, brine shrimp, and small insects. A varied diet ensures their optimal health and coloration.

Tank Mates: Glowlight Danios are peaceful and social, making them excellent tank mates for other peaceful species like other danios, rasboras, peaceful tetras, and small catfish. Avoid aggressive or larger species that might intimidate or outcompete them for food.

Aggression: They are among the more peaceful species in the aquarium hobby, displaying minimal aggression. However, ensure they’re kept in schools of at least 6 to prevent stress and encourage their natural schooling behavior.

Experience Level: Suitable for aquarists of various experience levels, including beginners. Their hardiness and adaptability make them forgiving of minor fluctuations in water parameters.

Water Parameters: Ideal conditions include a pH range of 6.5-7.5, a temperature between 72-78°F (22-26°C), and moderate water hardness (5-12 dGH). Regular water changes and a well-maintained aquarium ensure their health and vibrancy.
