Care: Goldfish are probably the most commonly available pond fish. This is most likely because of their beautiful colours and their ease to keep. They have a high tolerance to temperature extremes and water conditions.

In the right environment they can breed in vast numbers sometimes red or white parent fish can produce very mixed offspring. Even reverting back to their natural colour which is brown.

There are many types of food available for goldfish in pet shops, some that will enhance the colour of the fish.
