Build a Pond

Why choose a pond specialist?

If you’re after a run-of-the-mill, straightforward pond, then you should probably look elsewhere. We don’t fit premade ponds or off the shelf kits.
When we take on a new project, it is bespoke to YOU.
We have a team of landscapers, builders and fish farmers that combined give the you the best pool of knowledge.

Lifetime Guarantee

The most common issue which ruins a new pond is a leak. So our pond liners are guaranteed for a lifetime. If it ever leaks, call us and we’ll come straight out to fix it for you, free of charge.

Pond maintenance

Pond Maintenance

We offer a variety of maintenance packages to cater to every pond. Making sure you’ll never have to worry about pond cleans or faulty filters again.
We recommend planted ponds are cleared and cleaned annually, fish ponds have a filter service annually and full clean every two years and wildlife ponds can be every five years.

Support British Wildlife

There’s never been a better time to introduce a wildlife pond into your garden. Ponds play a vital part in our ecosystem – they support two-thirds of all freshwater species.
But the number of ponds in the UK countryside is at an all-time low. The Wildlife Trust estimates in the last hundred years, their number has reduced by half.
By building a wildlife pond, you won’t just be adding a beautiful feature to your garden; you will be providing a home for the creatures who soon may not have one.
Soon everything from birds, frogs, dragonflies, and even hedgehogs, will be seeking a spot by your pond.

Lake Management

Lake Management

We carry out various management aspects that can be difficult for lake owners such as dredging, weed control, survey netting, fish removal.

Dredging
This should be carried out every 15-20 years depending on the amount of debris building up in the water. We always carry out site visits prior to quoting for this. Material removed for the lake can remain on site to break down or can be removed if no areas are available. Should any consultation with the environment agency or planning be required we can assist with this prior to works commencing.
Weed Control
Aquatic weed can be very prolific, completely engulfing a lake. We have equipment to remove all types of weed, be it just areas for fishing or the whole area. Usually weed removed stays on site to be composted but can be removed. Please get in contact for a quote.
Fish Removal
Even large lakes can quickly become overpopulated with fish. In order to maintain over all fish health and continue larger fish growth excess fish should be removed every 1 - 3 years. Smaller fish species like Rudd and Roach are especially fast breeders and the usual suspects for overpopulated ponds. Its important to consider that every lb of Rudd for example is at least a lb less of carp or other larger species the lake will be able to support.
Survey Netting
Ever wondered what's in your lake? We can visit site with a seine net and carry out a survey netting to establish fish species present, numbers and fish health. From this we can also make recommendations to help the overall health of the lake in line with your plans.
Planting
